I am a strategic communications leader with deep experience across the full spectrum of public storytelling, from documentary production and journalism for the world's leading media companies to executive speechwriting at the highest levels of government.
My work transforms technical policy concepts and hard science into compelling presentations for a general audience. Whether I'm translating a sweeping government initiative into a high-profile speech, directing a NASA mission livestream, or reporting on cutting edge research for The New York Times, my projects elevate the facts into a sense of wonder. My boyhood love of great science fiction never faded.
In my current role as Senior Speechwriter for the Governor of New York, I author hundreds of speeches and video scripts for a wide variety of audiences across the state. Prior to this, I produced documentaries on five continents for National Geographic, HBO, History, and Vice News, including as creator and producer of Vice's 50-episode cosmic exploration series, The Space Show. My writing has appeared in numerous national magazines as well as every major New York City newspaper.
I hold an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
